Leave a legacy

You can make a difference by helping provide a measure of security and well being for people with developmental disabilities.

Join the Circle of Caring for people with developmental disabilities.

Here is how it works

You can arrange for a gift in several ways, the most common being through a will. Many people set aside a certain dollar amount. Others leave a percentage of their estate after their family has been provided for. You can give something that you own like a car or a home, or as others have, leave a paid up life insurance policy or other financial investment.

To be certain that OCAPDD receives the gift, you should state your intentions in your will. Without a will, you lose control over your belongings after death. Your property and finances are settled according to provincial laws, whether of not they coincide with family wishes.

How to get started?

If there is a professional you trust like a financial planner, lawyer, accountant or insurance agent, you can talk with them about leaving a gift. These professionals can tell you about the tax benefits of planned gifts. You can contact us if you would like to discuss planning your gift.

When you Leave A Legacy, you improve the quality of life of People with Developmental Disabilities.

By leaving a legacy through a gift in your will, you can continue to help us achieve OCAPDD's mission. “Persons with developmental disabilities, as full members of society, live healthy, safe and secure lives, growing with dignity, enjoying equitable access to the broadest range of societal supports.”
