SILThe Supported Independent Living Program within Open Hands provides services and supports to people living in the community of Cornwall. The supports and assistance provided within the program is as wide and varied as the people supported. The SIL program assists people in their day to day living as well as planning for future goals, be a part of the community and helping people to be the change they want to see in their own lives. Staff in the program work in very dynamic, fluid and autonomous environment that demands a lot of interpersonal skills and a drive to advocate for others.
