Volunteers Needed - General

Here are some specific activities where a helping hand would be appreciated.

Date & Time Volunteers Volunteer Activity
Help is needed from December 1st until December 24th. Each shift is four hours in duration. Volunteers are needed to help with the Christmas Gift Wrap Program at Carlingwood Shopping Centre. Volunteers are needed to help with the Christmas Gift Wrap Program at Carlingwood Shopping Centre.
Volunteer wrappers need to be 16 years of age and have some experience with gift wrapping.
Ongoing commitment of six months, two visits per month. 1-1 companionship You would be paired up with an individual to be a friend and help them participate in activities in the community.
Ongoing Art Instructors Help with or run art classes for small groups. (i.e. watercolour classes)
Ongoing Musicians Help run small musical groups.
Tuesday Evenings
between 7:15 and 8 p.m.
Musicians
Artists
Singers
Performance Groups
Musicians or performance groups are needed to perform on Tuesday evenings from 7:15-8:00 p.m. Loeb Recreational Centre.

For registration as an OCAPDD volunteer, please bring two photocopied pieces of identification, (e.g. Driver's License, Government/Military Card, Passport, Age of Majority Card, Birth Certificate, Hospital Card, Canadian Blood Donor Card, Immigration Papers, Canadian Citizenship Card) and two references with contact information (email or telephone number).

A police check for the Vulnerable Sector is required for all Direct Service positions. These can be obtained from most local police stations.

Photo ID is preferred when possible. Health card can not be accepted.
