In the first part of this training, we talked about allowing service animals into your premises and how to recognize a service animal. It's a requirement in the standard that service animals be allowed to accompany a person with a disability, except in some situations.

What do you do in the cases where a service animal is excluded under another law from entering part of your operation? How do you serve the customer?

Talk to your customer about options to accommodate them. This might mean leaving the animal in a safe area where the animal is allowed. Or it might mean offering to serve your customer in another part of your location where they can stay with their service animal.
